Some Books Recently Received: Seaplane Design for Students—M. Mignet on Simplified Control for Aeroplanes

This book, which is intended mainly for the use of students, deals with water properties of floats and hulls. Two chapters are devoted to the basic principles of flotation units, and the methods of finding the centre of buoyancy and metacentric heights are clearly shown. These chapters are followed by chapters on tank testing, float and flying‐boat hull design, and a final chapter on design data.
