A pivoted control member is provided with a servo‐flap which is supported thereon and carries an arm linked to a sliding part supported upon the control member in the vicinity of, but transversely to, the pivotal axis of the control member, the sliding part co‐operating with a stationary portion of the craft through a cam or linkage mechanism designed to give a desired servo characteristic when the control member is moved. As shown, a servo‐flap 13 on a control member 12 is operated by a rod IS adjustably connected to a slidable member 16 mounted transversely to the axis 17 of the control member. The free end of the rod 16 is provided with a roller 21 engaged in a cam slot 19, 20, 22 fixed to the wing 18 and which may be shaped to give any servo‐characteristic to the flap 13. The length of the rod 15 may be adjusted by a chain and sprocket wheel 23.
