This study aims to optimize EVA task planning and execution by analyzing performance indicators related to task time, energy consumption, and mission value. EVA, one of the three key technologies for manned spaceflight, places high demands on the design of mission processes, task allocation, and the operation of astronauts in executing missions.
This study provides a dynamic action value stream diagram to evaluate the mission’s success by pre-evaluating the EVA plan and then analyzing and directing mission execution in real-time. Mapping the action value stream of an EVA confirms the method’s efficacy.
The technique makes it easier to shorten overall crew mission duration and energy consumption and enhances the astronaut operational value-added ratio.
The future action value stream map reduces total mission length by 31.09% compared to the present action value stream map.
