£500k manufacturing system for MAC

Under a contract valued at£500k, Meggitt Aerospace Components (MAC), part of Meggitt plc, will install the MAX integrated manufacturing system from Bristol-based MAX International at sites in Blackburn, Dudley, Hemel Hempstead and California, to serve some 260 users. The agreement includes consultancy, software and hardware.

The MAX software will run under a Windows NT environment supporting a total of 260 users and will emulate the Bestobell Aviation installation, where the MAX software serves 60 users. Lewis expects further financial benefits to accrue from the move to NT.
