In British Patent 2300 010 Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH describe a framework for airships. The invention relates to the production of extremely light supports which are, however,capable of being subjected to high load and which are formed as a framework. Areas of application for supports of this type are predominantly found in the field of air travel, but also in other areas of technology where it is intended that framework supports, being large volume components, should have as little weight as possible. For the production of framework supports of this type from thin-walled pipes there are provided sleeve connections which are formed so that the pipes which are to be connected at one framework junction are covered in a form-locking manner by means of sleeve parts of a sleeve connector. These sleeves may be adhered in series to the junction. The entire junction, together with all the pipes which open out at this point, is surrounded by parts of the sleeve connector.
