Air UK Engineering Ltd and Messier Services UK announce the signing of a work share agreement whereby the Norwich and Gloucester-based companies will jointly participate in the repair and overhaul of landing gears for Fokker F50 and F100 aircraft. The arrangement is between Air UK Engineering, the MRO branch of KLM UK, and Messier Services UK, which is the newly formed company within the Messier Services global R &O organisation.
Both companies have long experience of working with landing gears and the combined expertise offers many advantages to operators of F50 and F100 aircraft. The new organisation is designed to provide a swifter service from dual workshop capacities to meet the overhaul turnaround times demanded by the airlines. The combining of rotable main and nose landing gear units also offers increased flexibility to operators seeking exchange R & O support.
