Newly formed Knowledge Technologies International (KTI) in its first, full business quarter has announced a major new customer order for its software The ICAD^®System (ICAD) ­ from German aero-engine maker Daimler-Benz Aerospace MTU München(MTU). Additionally DASA-MTU has declared its intention at the highest level to use KTI's technology to become a Knowledge-Based Organisation (KBO).

The internal name of the project within MTU is "Development of ICAD applications for integrated aero-engine design in the twenty-first century". The initial contract includes a significant consulting programme, training and ICAD programming and over 20 ICAD systems with maintenance.

MTU will establish a multi-disciplined team drawn from all aero-engine engineering departments to work with the KTI team of knowledge architects, knowledge engineers and knowledge programmers to establish the world's first corporate KBO Excellence Centre.
