Dowry Group, the aerospace arm of TI Group plc, recently announced the formation of Dowry Tubular Systems which will comprise Lewis & Saunders, previously part of Dowty's turbine engine components group, and a new addition, Tireflex Corporation, which is headquartered in Springfield, Massachusetts and has a facility in France.
Lewis & Saunders is a leading fabricater of rigid tubular assemblies and Titeflex is a leading producer of Teflon and metal flex hoses, with products on a range of aircraft and space vehicles including fluid carrying systems on NASA's International Space Station Alpha. The two businesses already supply the major aircraft and engine manufacturers and this alignment will enable Dowry to provide complete rigid and flexible tubing solutions to its wide customer base.
The addition of Titeflex will boost Dowry Group's sales to approaching US$900 million, as Dowty Tubular Systems takes its place alongside Dowty's four other focused aerospace groupings; Hydraulics & Actuation, Turbine Engine Components, Aerostructures and Propellers.
