Derco Aerospace, Inc., of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has recently been awarded a contract to provide total support for the Romanian Air Force C-130 aircraft fleet.
The Logistical Support Contract, entered into with R.A. Romtehnica for support of the Romanian Ministry of National Defence, calls for Derco to be the sole provider of aircraft spare parts, repair and overhaul services, as well as other logistics services for the C-130 aircraft of the Romaman Air Force. Other services to be provided by Derco during this three year support agreement include flight simulator training,engineering support, in and out-of-country maintenance, and co-ordination of required inspection programs.
In recent years, Derco has evolved from a logistical parts supplier to program management, systems integration, and logistical support for air forces and maintenance facilities worldwide. The newly-awarded Romanian contract, in addition to the $50 million Brazalian SIVAM C-130 Upgrade contract previously awarded to Derco, reinforces the company's commitment to diversify its services for its customers who expect"single source integration."
