Bellhouse Hartwell & Co. Ltd, one of ten aerospace engineering companies owned by Hampson Industries plc, reports that it has won the coveted Silver Supplier Excellence award from British Aerospace Military Aircraft &Aerostructures. It is the first time that a Silver award has been given to a fabrication company and it follows a week-long intensive on-site audit by five British Aerospace assessors.

The assessment was made against an internationally-recognised European Quality Model for Business Excellence which establishes a supplier's ability to apply a systematic approach to continuous process improvement. The test also measures performance levels including product quality, delivery, responsiveness,cost, development and investment in people and the environment.
