This edition of the very valuable work of reference contains the information enabling any section of aviation in the UK and Ireland to be accessed. The list of contacts is the most extensive possible, most by telephone and fax although a large number quote a Website as well. At the beginning of the volume the references to organisations and people are led by the Civil Aviation Authority,Parliament and Military Aviation, which are followed by licensed and unlicensed airports, heliports and helipads, and military airfields.

British and International airlines are listed separately with full details of senior executives and fleets as well as operations philosophy and the most recent commercial decisions and aircraft serving the routes. Airtaxi operators,ATOL holders, flying clubs and schools are listed as well as microlight clubs and schools. Particularly valuable are the details of aviation organisations which show the quite remarkably wide interests catered for in these bodies. Aviation museums are also featured, grouped in geographical areas.

A large section of the directory is concerned with trade and industry together with a classified products index. By means of these two very comprehensive listings it is possible to trace any company and its specialised product area , helped by extensive cross-reference. Details of aeronautical training requirements in all areas of expertise are given, together with qualifications and courses. Press and media are given coverage, with publications subdivided into different categories, freelance and aviation journalists and also photographers and picture researchers. Aviation bookshops and publishers are also listed. The directory is completed by informative lists of who's who and who's where in British Aviation, which underlines the usefulness of this volume to anyone connected with any branch of aerospace.
