China Airlines, Taiwan's leading carrier, recently announced an order for 13 747-400 freighters. The Boeing Company confirmed, China Airlines now has placed more orders for 747-400 freighters than any other airline. Deliveries for the order, valued at approximately $2.5 billion, are scheduled to begin in July 2000 and continue through 2007.
