Raychem, supplier of thermally conductive gels for thermal management in electronic equipment, is introducing a gel-based product that it believes is easier to handle during installation. Raychem's new HeatPath GTQ 1540 interface material is designed with a non-tacky side, which reportedly does not attract dust, and a tacky side which enables the gel material to stay in place during assembly without the need for adhesives.

"This is a product that many of our customers have been requesting", said Ben Sitier, Gel Products manager for Raychem's Electronics OEM Components Division."The new GTQ 1540 product is soft and comfortable with low-thermal resistance and low compression force with the added advantage of a non-tacky top surface. The non-tacky surface does not attract dust and sticks only on one side for easy installation and removal."

Raychem provides GTQ 1540 gels and other HeatPath products in a wide range of pre-cut shapes, on rolls and in sheets to facilitate easy handling and installation. The HeatPath GTQ 1540 product comes in standard thickness ranging from 0.25mm to 1.0 mm.
