Messier Services International reports that it has chosen the Movex Aviation software designed by Intentia International to set up a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRC)business. Messier Services International, part of the Snecma group of France,signed the contract with Intentia International earlier this year following a request for proposals launched mid-2000.
Worth more than e3 million, this contract covers the implementation of a powerful software package said to be perfectly suited to the aircraft equipment repair business. Messier Services network is a global provider of landing and braking system MRO services.
Intentia Consulting France, in co-operation with Messier Services France,will define and develop all processes (commercial, precision and financial)throughout the rest of this year. Operational startup is slated for mid-2002. Initially the software will be installed at Messier Services France; it will then be gradually deployed throughout the network, including Messier Services America (Washington, DC), Messier Services US (Gloucester) and Messier Services Asia (Singapore).
