Aviointeriors of Italy, aircraft seat manufacturers, announced at the recent Paris Air Show that it is to partner with Commercial Aerospace Services Co. Ltd(CASCO) of the UK. CASCO will assist Avio with the provision of components and parts to service customers in the UK whose aircraft are fitted with Avio seats. The deal could eventually see CASCO taking on a wider role as a general sales agent for Avio in the UK. A number of UK airlines are in Avio's sights.

"Airline profits are measured in seconds and inches", says Aviointeriors chief executive Franco Mancassola, illustrating how important it is to minimise the time an aircraft spends on the ground and the significance of inches in an aircraft cabin. Increasingly, Aviointeriors' new slimline seats are gaining in popularity among airlines, as they take up less room in the cabin without compromising on comfort and leg room.

Aviointeriors, one of the world's largest manufacturers of aircraft interiors, produces up to 7,000 seats per month.
