Capacitive sensor
Following the recent launch of its new cutting edge capacitive sensor technology ProximitySens, Coastform Systems has introduced a low cost demonstration and development configuration to enable design engineers in the aviation industry to assess the product potential of this new technology.
For just £99 (inc vat), Coastform Systems is supplying a ProximitySens touch sensitive panel, control board, serial cable for connection to PC, BtnView Windows software for configuration and monitoring, and a complete set of technical guidance notes.
Dr Tim Ingersoll, Coastform's managing director believes this demonstration"package" will greatly enhance a company's evaluation process:
It is an innovative way of giving design engineering and development teams a"hands-on" insight as to the potential features and benefits that could be incorporated into a wide range of industrial and consumer products using ProximitySens technology."
He added: "Once design engineering and product development teams fully appreciate the potential of capacitive sensor technology to their own product ranges, Coastforms Systems can quickly start working with them to design and configure necessary embedded systems."
ProximitySens uses fundamental physical principles coupled with automatic self calibration and intelligent, adaptive algorithms to produce proximity detectors with amazing change sensing capabilities. Whether the need is for keypads and touch panels, for sensing changing levels of materials in a container, or to track people through building entry systems, ProximitySens can be configured to provide solutions to some very difficult challenges.
