When Airbus Germany required training in the field of fibre optic connector technology, it went to a leading connectors' manufacturer and fibre optic technology experts, Deutsch Ltd (Plate 6).

Fibre Optic experts, Ray Vine and David Carman, both programme managers at Deutsch Ltd in Hastings, UK, were invited to Airbus Deutschland Gmbh in Hamburg to train Airbus personnel in fibre optic technology application.
