Dunlop Precision receives seals contract Free

Dunlop Precision Rubber of Leicestershire, UK, manufacturer of elastomeric aerospace seals, has won a contract to supply elastomeric clamp blocks to Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

Dunlop Precision's contract, covers 1,200 different part numbers and extends over three years. Manufactured in EPDM rubber, the components are used to clamp cables and hydraulic pipework on all models of Boeing commercial airplanes.

Two main processes are involved in the manufacture of the clamp blocks,moulding and water-jet cutting. Dunlop Precision has invested in a new and advanced water-jet cutting facility in order to enhance the speed and quality of manufacturing.
