Messier Services reorganises

Messier Services reports that it has become a full-fledged company. Reorganised around a new French-registered holding company, Messier Services International, it is headed by Benoit Gosset. Capitalised at 37,337,580 euros,Messier Services International will oversee the operating companies in the U.S.,U.K., France and Singapore, which provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for landing and braking systems (Plates 12 and 13).

Messier Services will be part of the Equipment core business in the Snecma group, and is jointly owned by Messier- Dowty, and Messier-Bugatti. Because of the relative weight of landing gear services in Messier Services' overall business, Messier- Dowty will be the core shareholder and industrial leader.

A new Messier Services company has been created in France. Messier-Bugatti will contribute its maintenance and repair business, mainly concerning landing gear and hydraulic repair facilities in Molsheim (near Strasbourg in eastern France), while Messier-Dowty will transfer its spare parts distribution operation.

The name of the new French company is Messier Services, the same as its counterparts in the United States, the United Kingdom and Singapore. It is capitalised at 12,807,030 euros and has about 530 employees. Marcel Schott is the chairman and CEO of Messier Services France.

The other companies in the new Messier Services network, and their managing directors, are: Messier Services, Sterling, Virginia (near Washington, D.C.),Robert Grainger, Messier Services, Gloucester, U.K., Tim Rice, Messier Services,Singapore, Han Hian Goh.
