System 3R establishes new metalcutting division

With the expansion of System 3R's capability in referencing, palletisation and automation and the addition of both Mecatool and Blüco Technik tooling brands, the newly established Metalcutting Division will, it informs us, focus on delivering real productivity gains and machine utilisation benefits to its customers (Plate 4).

Under the direction of Peter Lampitt (formerly U.K. sales manager for Mecatool) and Geoff Reynolds (sales manager for System 3R) the new Division will reportedly offer practical, cost-effective solutions primarily to those customers wishing to maximise the productivity from its not insubstantial investment in 3, 4, 5 and 6-axis machining centres.

Worldwide experience with the major machining centre manufacturers and their customers, is believed to place system 3R – at a major advantage in being able to recommend optimum tooling, palletisation and automation combination for each specific multi-axis brand. This is thought to be a logical enhancement of the "One System Partner" approach from System 3R whereby the complete toolroom and machine shop can be integrated by one common "tooling system".

"Our systems help you get the most out of what you've got," explained Peter Lampitt. "We can provide proven toolholders from as small as 1mm diameter to palletisation modules 6m x 4m in size, whatever the metalcutting process. Pre-setting is the name of the game and no one has more expertise in this area than System 3R!"
