Fleet order for Grob 120 trainers

The Haifa-based company Elbit Systems Ltd, has placed an order with Grob Aerospace for a fleet of aircraft of type G 120A-1. Under a contract with the Israeli Air Force they will be used for the screening and basic training of pilots.

This is the first time that a private company in Israel has received an order as part of an operator project (PFI-project-privately financed intitiative) to procure and operate aircraft for the Israeli aemed forces. They will be operated and maintained by an Elbit subsidiary.
