Cobham plc reports the appointment of Alex Hannam to the position of managing director, FR Aviation Limited and to the Board as an executive director of Cobham plc. He took over from Geoff Roe on his retirement.
Alex has joined Cobham from Alenia Marconi Systems, where he was the managing director of Radar Systems since 1995. Between 1991 and 1994 he held a number of interim managerial positions with Paragon Group, Woodhead Manufacturing, Seethru Retail Display and AK Management Consultants. Prior to that he was IT director for Ferranti Computer Systems and general manager of the Civil Systems division of the same firm. He also spent 12 years with Vickers plc, 6 years with the retailer Henry Wigfall and Sons and 6 years with the National Coal Board as a management accountant.
