ABB, the global power and automation technologies group, has appointed David Marshall as UK business manager for Robotics (Plate 17).

Recently becoming the first company in the world to sell 100,000 robots has been a major achievement for ABB but, with just 4,500 of the 100,000 robots installed in the UK, the appointment of a dedicated robotics business manager in the UK was essential to drive growth.
David comments: “One aspect of my role will be to develop a network of UK systems integrators and OEMs to further the uptake of robot-based automation in non-automotive industries and build the business around specific customer groups such as aerospace.”
