Approval for Wallwork Heat Treatment
Approval for Wallwork Heat Treatment
Wallwork Heat Treatment reports that it has been awarded SCI Pt. I Approval by BAe Systems. This covers flying parts, and includes heat treatment, case hardening, and other related processes for parts made from ferrous and non-ferrous metals including titanium and nickel products (Plate 8).

Wallwork has maintained Pt. 5 Approval for many years, which covers non-flying parts such as jigs and production tooling.
The Wallwork Group, which includes Wallwork Heat Treatment (Birmingham) and Tecvac Ltd, Cambridge, as well as Wallwork's Bury facilities, serves a substantial aerospace customer sector covering aerospace engine parts, flying control elements, hydraulics systems components and fuel handling system components. Now that the vacuum heat treatment capacity is again being extended in Birmingham, substantial vacuum capacity is available for stainless steels, as well as standard steels used for stress loads or toolmaking.
