Aeroflex Incorporated, a designer, developer and manufacturer of automated testing solutions and microelectronics for the aerospace, defence and broadband communications markets, has announced that its IFR subsidiary has received orders aggregating $4.1 million for radio test sets and ancillary equipment to test SINCGARS frequency hopping radios. These orders are expected to be shipped during calendar year 2003 and are in addition to approximately $2.5 million of existing backlog for the same test sets.
"This order reaffirms Aeroflex's position as a leader in military radio test,having received in excess of $100 million in orders for SINCGARS and other DOD tactical communication needs," said Len Borow, Executive Vice President/CEO of Aeroflex. "We expect to receive additional orders in excess of $20 million for the same test sets over the next 24-36 months."
