Keywords: Aircraft, Safety

SafTGlo, described as the 100 percent reliable unpowered emergency floorpath marking system manufactured by STG Aerospace, is currently available for even more airlines after it secured FAA approval for installation in the Airbus A300.

The new STCs are valid for the B2 and B4 models, which make up over 80 percent of the total A300 fleet of aircraft and are operated worldwide. Major operators include American Airlines, Lufthansa and some of the leading Pacific Rim airlines.

Alex Muir, STG Aerospace's Sales Director, said: “The A300 is one of the workhorses of the industry with a good reliability record. SafTGlo is a complementary product in terms of reliability and return on investment.”

He continued: “This latest certification brings SafTGlo's tally to almost 50, confirming its place as the class leading emergency floorpath marking system.”
