Anomet precious metal clad products are available as wire and rod from 0,05 to 3.2mm O.D. and as ribbon up to 25mm W, with 2 per cent or more cladding thickness, depending upon the desired properties, and are functionally equivalent to solid products. Precious metals can include platinum for oxidation-, corrosion- resistance, and biocompatibility, gold for contact-resistance, and palladium or silver, which can be clad to various cores.
Featuring a smooth, consistent surface finish, Anomet Precious Metal Clad Products can include core materials such as stainless steel, copper, Kovar,niobium, nickel-iron, molybdenum, tantalum, and titanium. More ductile and formable than filled or plated products, clad products are suitable for fabricating micro-switches, connectors, and components used in high-reliability military products.
