Deal with Chinese manufacturing company

Mettis Aerospace has signed an agreement with the Chinese manufacturing company SAM to supply aircraft and industrial gas turbine components for the next three years.

The Redditch-based company supplies the aluminium outlet guide vanes for the CF34-8C aero engine, which powers the Bombardier series of regional jets. The engine has also been selected to power the new ARJ21Chinese regional jet.

Mettis will also supply forged aerofoils for the LM6000 industrial gas turbine.
