A reference book containing over 30,000 tooling items covering almost all areas of machining from the six companies that make up the Leitz Metalworking Technology Group (LMT) is now available free-of-charge from LMT (UK) of Coventry. Group CEO Dr Michael Heinrich singled out the free-of-charge 1,400 page compendium of tooling as probably the most comprehensive collection of cutting tools available from a single-source that are supplied direct from the original manufacturer.

The pages, mostly in colour, are packed with specifications and machining data from the LMT group of companies including: Belin for reamers, Bilz tool clamping, Boehlerit: carbide development and inserts for difficult materials as well as turning, milling, drilling and rotary peeling tools, Fette: milling, gear hobbing and threading systems, Kieninger: specialised drilling and milling and Onsrud for high-performance composite, aluminium and plastics machining tooling.

The catalogue also covers state-of-the-art materials and advanced coatings from the Group’s own laboratories and production facilities,high-performance processing tools for all materials, intelligent tools with integrated sensors and actuators, multi-functional and special tools as well as tools with high-feed rate capability. Tools and ancillaries are also included for micro-processing, process optimisation and tool management as well as details of LMT’s re-conditioning service.

A CD is also bound into the back cover of the book to provide an electronic version. A copy of Precision Tools – Main Catalogue is available free-of-charge from LMT (UK) of Coventry. Tel: +44 (0) 24 7636 9770, Fax: +44(0) 24 7636 9771, web site: www.lmt-tools.com
