Examination of survival strategies of quantity surveying firms amid COVID-19 pandemic disruption in Lagos State, Nigeria

Nathaniel Ayinde Olatunde holds a PhD degree in Quantity Surveying from the Obafemi Awolowo, Ile- Ife, Nigeria. He is currently a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Quantity Surveying, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. Prior to his employment in the institution, he has worked as Lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying, University of Benin, Edo State, Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State as well as a Quantity Surveyor with a private developer in Abuja, Nigeria. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MNIQS) as well as a registered quantity surveyor (RQS). He has presented conference papers in few national conferences and published about 30 peer reviewed journal articles both at national and international (Built Environment Project and Asset Management, Journal of Engineering Projects and Production Management, Journal of Engineering Design and Technology, Frontier in Engineering and Built Environment, etc). He serves as Reviewer for one local and two international journals. His research interest is in the area of quantity surveying practices, project performance and project management.

Angel Manuel Gento Municio is a PhD Industrial Engineering and Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Science at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, University of Valladolid. He is a researcher at the Process Design and Improvement group (DIMEPRO) and director of the Master in Logistics at the University of Valladolid for more than fifteen years. He has presented conference papers in numerous national and international conferences and published in international journals (Journal of Building Engineering, Production Planning and Control, Sustainability, International Journal of Fuzzy Systems, Management and Production Engineering Review, European Journal of Operational Research, …) and book chapters in leading publishers (Springer, ISI). He serves as reviewer for several national and international journals. His current fields of research are lean manufacturing, leading the first learning factory in Spain created from university-industry collaboration, supply chain management and risk management through simulation and fuzzy sets.

Imoleayo Abraham Awodele is a PhD student in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying Department, Durban University of Technology. South Africa. His research interests are in the area of Quantity Surveying, Railway infrastructure and management, Sustainable Procurement, Construction Cost Management, Construction Project Management, Lean Manufacturing and Procurement. He had about ten years of industry experience in the field of construction, Civil engineering and property development. He is a corporate member of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and a Registered member with Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria.
