One of my most recurring nightmares is the office of the future. It is a vision, a vision out of 1984; of robots, expert systems and facelessness. Maybe you share it? So the first thing we need to do today is to characterise and dispel some of the myths around this area. It seems to me that the common thread of concern is about rampant technology. It is about a paperless and cashless society. It is about people working at home talking only to their PC or through video conferences, but more importantly it is about the impact of technology developments.
