INSCOPE: a co‐ordinate index in the field of applied economics

A description is given of an optical coincidence feature card co‐ordinate index for retrieval of information on commodity economics. The nature of the subject language and operational environment have been prime system construction determinants. There would seem to be little difference for index language construction between the field of commodity economics and scientific and technical fields, apart from a large amount of ephemeral material for which a special handling technique has been developed.
