Computer aspects of the BLIPS system: a discussion Available to Purchase

What I would like to do is to survey the field briefly to get the perspective of the problem, to mention some of the problems that may arise, and in that way to initiate a discussion. I shall be grouping my remarks under four headings. First of all under size, magnitude of files, and so on. Secondly, timing, mainly the question of response of the terminals. Thirdly, something about hardware, in particular in relation to the communications aspect. And finally, a brief look at security.
