Every year, Aslib, in common with other library and information organizations, plays host to a large number of overseas visitors, many of them from developing countries. They come to the United Kingdom for many reasons but mainly to improve their own knowledge and experience, to study British ideas and methods and to make some judgment of which of these may be relevant to their own particular environments.
