Information Technology in Libraries, 1999 Information Resources Management Association International Conference, 16-19 May 1999, Hershey, Pennsylvania

Developments in information technology have had a major impact on all types of libraries over the past two decades. The challenges for libraries that arise from the advent of the computer and the proliferation of cheaper, faster, more efficient means of accessing and processing data are particularly wide-ranging. Public, academic and special libraries are faced with dilemmas as tightly focused as whether to opt for online or CD-ROM technology to complex ethical questions about the public's right to know. This IRMA track seeks to expand knowledge in this rapidly evolving area.

Submission categories include full length submissions of previously unpublished, conceptual or empirical research manuscripts; research in progress submissions; and panel, workshop, tutorial and symposium submissions. More information is available at http://www.irma-international.org
