New Literary Fellow at the University of Auckland

The association between libraries and the fine arts has waned somewhat in recent years as the emphasis has shifted towards business plans, cost recovery, etc. University of Auckland sociology librarian Robert Sullivan has other ideas, however, and has recently been made the university's new Literary Fellow. For one year he will work in the English Department instead of in the Library. Robert has had two books of poems published, Jazz Waiata, in 1990, and his second, Piki Ake!, which appeared recently, examines his experiences as a librarian.
