Both publications, aimed particularly at those looking after agricultural library collections who have no formal library qualifications, were developed as part of the Pacific Regional Agricultural Programme's Project 9 (Agricultural Information Support), funded by the European Union. All agricultural libraries in the SPC region will be receiving a copy automatically. Responsibility for the Pacific Regional Agricultural Programme has recently been assigned to the Secretariat for the Pacific Community in Suva, Fiji. This includes Project 9 (Agricultural Information Support) which has been working for the last three years to improve access to and use of agricultural information in eight Pacific Island countries. The project has been relocated to the SPC campus in Suva.
