Closing address

It is very difficult in a short presentation to give

an overview and sum up the essence of this conference

but let me first congratulate the Institution and the

speakers on bringing together so many excellent and

comprehensive papers on this important subject. Some

have stuck closer to the theme of the Community than

others, but all have been interesting. We have heard a

great deal about *culture'.

Yesterday President Severn spoke of technical,

professional, financial, and cultural/social aspects of

the subject. All have come up during our discussion.
