Mr. M. W. Pull in (Fire Section, Scientific Branch, GLC)
My section of the Scientific Branch of the Greater London Council gives scientific and technical advice on operational problems to the London Fire Brigade (LFB). Together we produced the original Hazchem scheme and have worked on its subsequent development with the various government departments since; and it is good to know that the UKHIS Hazard Information Panel which includes the Hazchem action code will soon be a statutory requirement for tank vehicles.
