Did Mr Blachot have an absolute calibration of the efficiency of the Ge (Li) detector in ordei to give absolute fission yields and if so was the neutron flux measured at the sample or are the fission yields relative ones ?
J. BLACHOT
Up to now only relative efficiency calibration of the Ge(Li) detector is being carried out, but in the future it is hoped to have an absolute one with some standards. The neutron fluj was not measured, so the yields are relative ones.

Can the subtraction of higher energy -y-ray Compton background to be done accurately enough to give better fission yield results than by classical separation methods with chemical yield determination.
