Why is there such a discrepancy in mass analy
sis for 235-U/238-U ?

The solid source mass spectrometer results for the 235-U/238-U ratio have been found to be 1 to 1.5% in excess of those measured on a Copen hurst UF^ spectrometer. These results seem to be independent of enrichment. I believe that Mr. Griggs has had a similar experience in his studies on WAGR.

This was indeed the case although no attempt had been made to correct the solid source meas urements for mass discrimination effects.
