Meetings are common at all stages of all but the simplest projects. Their uses and efficiency vary greatly. Well-run meetings can be valuable for agreeing facts, conMnitting people to objectives, locating problems, generating answers to problems and achieving a team spirit. Meetings which are vague in purpose or lacking relevant people can waste time and demoralize a project. Meetings should therefore be planned. The following is a check-Ust for that purpose.
Possible objectives of meetings
• To introduce parties together, not least members of different departments in the promoter's organization.
• To describe a project, its objectives and its programme.
