Paper 1 refers to cost-saving achieved by the use of mathematical models compared with physical models. Could the Authors provide model costs for the Torquay Harbour example for
(1) mathematical model - set-up and cost per run
(2) physical model - set-up and cost per run.

In the case of the Torquay Harbour, severe wave conditions may occur when a swell from the east, resulting from several days of strong easterly winds, is combined with the effects of local waves.
Is it possible to combine the effects of a swell with that of locally generated waves by mathematical modelling, in order to determine wave conditions inside a harbour?
