The main difficulty in achieving an adequate standard of design education within the confines of our three year course unit degree structure is lack

of time. Our students take Design as a compulsory course in the second and third years, each being a half course unit. Design thus occupies one twelvth

of the total course. Each half course unit has approximately twenty four hours of teaching and twenty four hours of drawing office time available*
