This paper reports on the finite element analysis of a reinforced concrete beam failing in shear. The analysis considers two beams: a control beam and a beam strengthened with CFRP straps. Experimental and FE results are compared. The results confirm the experimentally observed shear enhancement of concrete beams transversely prestressed with CFRP straps.
