We always have to strengthen the concrete structural elements as a result of a change in the purposes of the structure used or due to some mistakes in the design or in the concrete construction or after earthquakes. The purpose of this publication is to study the effectiveness of three different strengthening techniques: Shotcrete, Fibreshotcrete and CFRP sheet; stress-strain relationships of concrete stub columns strengthened with the previous techniques an then subjected to axial loading were studied. 7 reinforced short columns were prepared in this work. Later, strengthening concrete structures with shotcrete became widely used. The extent of the strengthening process depends on whether we nearly need to return the strength capacity of the damaged concrete structure or increase this strength more than the original design strength.
