Chapter 4: BIM Parties and Teams and the Information Management Process

This Chapter considers what the roles of the various parties (the Appointing Party, the Lead Appointed Party and the Appointed Parties) are, and how those parties interact with one another in respect of the BIM process through different teams (the Project Team, the Delivery Team and the Task Team). This chapter also deals with the important roles of the BIM Coordinator and the BIM Information Manager, and also deals with the eight process steps in respect of the operation of BIM as extracted from BS EN ISO 19650-2. The Organisational Information Requirements, the Project Information Requirements, the Asset Information Requirements, and the Exchange Information Requirements are all dealt with in this Chapter.
