This chapter addresses the methodical development of the Cultural System (C.S.) for the Digital Twin for Urban Management (DT for UM) paradigm, which has been proposed as a means to unify and advance the growingly diverse and ideationally heterogeneous field of Urban Management (UM). While the book introduces the conceptual design of this C.S., termed DATUM, this chapter focuses on developing DATUM's methodical element. Specifically, it outlines a set of standard methods essential for the systematisation of DT for UM. These metho ds are designed to aid in (a) specifying and classifying Digital Twins (DTs), (b) defining the various functions and applications of DTs, and (c) modelling and documenting DT use case scenarios. By developing these methodical elements, the chapter contributes to creating a structured, cohesive framework that constitutes DATUM, which ultimately aims to support the effective growth and maturity of the DT for UM paradigm, ensuring alignment among its members and their research efforts.
