The values of keff = 0.95 given in Paper 34 for the accident conditions are somewhat high. What are the methods and data used to calculate the keff values? What uncertainties are there in the calculation?

R. Christ (Paper 34)

A keff + 2o 4 0.95 is an accepted limit for critical safety in the licensing procedure of shipping casks. In the case of the SNR 300 concept the limit of keff = 0.95 would only be reached in the most unrealistic case of pins being rearranged in a regular lattice on a larger cross-section due to impact forces in an accident.
