For many years now the Nuclear Energy Agency has published about every two or three years a 'Red Book1, in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency. The fRed Book1 whose full title is 'Uranium - Resources, Production and Demand1, represents the most complete available international assessment of potential uranium supply. More recently, a 'Yellow Book1, called 1 Nuclear Fuel Cycle Requirements and Supply Considerations through the Long Term1 has appeared. This fills a complementary role to the 'Red Book' in assisting the NEA to fulfil part of its mandate, namely to assess the future role of nuclear energy in the OECD and elsewhere, and to identify possible constraints on its growth.
